Nicole El Hawi

Clinical Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist with vast experience in providing psychological assessments and treatments. I have also had extensive training in the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS-2). By incorporating integrative approaches, I help children, adolescents, and adults address many psychological and mental concerns – from mood swings to neurodevelopmental and trauma-related disorders. Based on my clients’ specific need, I combine various therapeutic modalities (e.g. play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT, Narrative Exposure Therapy) to achieve optimum results and help clients reach their goals.

I encourage my clients to learn new skills that help them manage life challenges, deal with distressing emotions, and live a more fulfilling life. This may include guiding parents to better understand their children’s emotions/behaviors as well as learn effective ways to communicate with their children and manage the challenging behavior.

In addition to providing clinical services, I have also published scientific articles on early prevention of Autism. I can provide services in both English and Arabic.
