Dr. Mounira Al-Dousari
Consultant
I earned both my PhD and Master’s in Advisory and Support from the University of Edinburgh, and my Bachelor’s degree from Kuwait University. I am also an Assistant Professor at Kuwait University, where I teach courses in consultative frameworks, behavioral studies, and wellness education. Alongside my academic role, I maintain a private advisory practice grounded in evidence-informed methods and specialized training in culturally attuned support frameworks. This allows me to integrate faith-sensitive approaches when relevant, supporting individuals in a way that honors both their well-being and their spiritual values.
My research and advisory interests include navigating perfectionism, stress management, self-image, and interpersonal dynamics, including marital harmony and relationship transitions. I also focus on maternal well-being, particularly the emotional and lifestyle challenges surrounding childbirth, postpartum transitions, navigating loss, and fertility journeys.
My consultative approach is shaped by an ongoing dialogue between individual-centered and insight-oriented perspectives. This allows me to balance empathy and depth within a culturally and spiritually sensitive framework, fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes emotional presence and personal understanding.
